Through Liveable, you have the opportunity to give back to your local community by volunteering several hours per week, and at the same time gain access to affordable accommodation (around €400 p/m).

Liveable currently has several rooms, studios, and houses available for temporary housing contracts in The Hague area. Due to the nature of the contract you may be able to obtain rent subsidy. If you are interested in this initiative, you can check out Livable’s website or Facebook page. For priority access through Leiden Pride, please contact us through our contact form.

LGBT Asylum Support

This organisations works to defend the rights of LGBTQI+ asylum seekers and guarantee their safety in The Netherlands. On their website you can fill in a report form if you have been discriminated against, or were the victim of harassment or violence.

In the Netherlands it is legal to be critical of the authorities, and complaints will not have influence on your asylum procedure. Reports are confidential and will not be forwarded without your permission.

If you have had problems reporting discrimination, or have a complaint about the police or the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA), you can send an email to: info@lgbtasylumsupport.nl. This organisation will support you in this.
